Three generations.
Still a family business.

It started in the 1950s, with Sherman L. Balch building homes in Walnut Creek as a sole proprietor. He incorporated Balch Enterprises with his sons in 1979, and his grandsons have since joined the business. Today, many of our leases are still negotiated directly by a Balch family member.

Some of our earliest tenants have been with us since 1989. That's not an accident.
